School Opening Hours 

There are 2 entrance gates to Sudbourne Primary School.

 • Pupil Gate: pupils and parents/carers dropping off and collecting children 

 • Visitors Gate: for late morning pupil arrivals; early pupil collection or late (home time) collection; general enquiries and meetings

The Pupil Gate is located on Mandrell Road                  

The Visitor Gate is located on Strathleven Road

Any child arriving after 8:50AM will be required to report to the main school office, via the Visitor’s Gate, for late sign-in.

The morning bell is rung just before 8.50am when children line up in the playground.

We ask that all parents/carers please vacate the playground, as the bell rings.

The teachers escort the children to the classroom promptly at 8:50AM.

Children in Phase 3 (years 5 & 6) go straight up to their classrooms at 8:40AM.

The school gates close punctually at 8:50AM each day to ensure the safety and security of our school site. Any child arriving after 8:50AM is required to report to the main school office via the Visitor Gate on Strathleven Road and will be marked as late.

Pick-up is at 3:30PM and the school gates are closed promptly, at 3:45PM, after pick-up; all children and parent/carers should vacate the playground by this time. This is to ensure the safety and security of the children, who are remaining in school to attend our after-school enrichment clubs and the Play Professionals wrap around care.

The school is open for children for 33 hours and twenty minutes each week.

Breakfast and after-school wrap around care will continue to be provided by Play Professionals at the following times:

 • Breakfast club – 7:45am – 8:50am

 • After school club – 3:30pm – 6:00pm

Any child not collected at 3.30pm will be taken to the Front Office for collection via Visitors Gate
