School Dinners at Sudbourne

School Lunches

Sudbourne is fortunate to have a superb chef who prepares our meals freshly each day; we offer three choices of main course (one vegetarian) and an exciting choice of vegetables and salads. We encourage children to have a hot school lunch. Please remember that we do not have cool storage for packed lunches.

Charges

The Mayor of London has committed to providing free school meals for every school aged child, from Reception to Year 6, for the whole of the 2024/25 school year.

Nursery children are required to pay for meals and this can be done either using Arbor or by bank transfer. Please ask for details in the School Office or by emailing admin@sudbourne.com.

The current cost of a lunch at Sudbourne Primary School is £2.56 per day (£12.80 per week) payable in advance.

Free School Meals

Families who are in receipt of some benefits may also be eligible for supermarket vouchers during the school holidays and, the school could receive additional funding so that we can do more to support our pupils. If you are in receipt of benefits we encourage you to contact the school office to see if your family qualifies; we can check eligibility quickly and discreetly and this information remains confidential.

Packed Lunches

Pupils can also bring a packed lunch to school. In line with our Healthy Schools status, we ask parents and carers to provide nutritious and healthy lunches for their children, avoiding sweets, chocolate and fizzy or fruit drinks (water or flavoured water is preferred). Packed lunches should not include nuts, peanuts or nut-based products as we have children with serious nut allergies at school.

Medical Dietary Requirements

If your child has medical dietary requirements, please complete a Special Diet Referral Form (see below).  You can email your completed form to: admin@sudbourne.com
