In-Year Admissions

In-year admissions

The Government requires all councils to co-ordinate in-year (casual) admissions. A normal admissions round refers to applications for the start of reception, all applications outside of normal admissions are regarded as 'in-year' (casual) admissions. Your application will be considered as in-year if:

  • you are applying for a place in years 1 to 6
  • you are applying for a reception place after school has started in September

To find out more about the in-year primary school admissions procedure, please visit the Lambeth Schools Admissions and Appeals website.

Applications are received throughout the year and must now be made using a Primary School in-year Common Application Form (CAF). Regardless of what borough the child lives in, you must use this form to apply for in-year admission into Sudbourne Primart School.

All of your preferences will be considered at the same time, regardless of rank. A letter should be sent within 20 school days to let you know the outcome of your application. If your child is not offered a place at any school, Lambeth School Admissions Team we will let you know the names of alternative schools with vacancies. Your child will also be placed on the waiting list of your preference schools.

How to apply

You can only apply using a paper, downloadable Lambeth Primary School CAF from 1 September or by requesting a copy from Lambeth School Admissions Team by calling 020 7926 9503.
