Maths Day 2015 - Another day of great Sudbourne fun!

At Sudbourne we love mathematics! This year we enjoyed a whole day celebrating the fact that Maths is Everywhere!

Breaking News: London is on fire! Take a look at Phase 1's newsreel about the Great Fire of London.

Each class in Phase 1 made a film about their learning from their Great Fire of London topic, here is Class 7's.

This is what Class 8 learnt about the great fire of London.

And here is another great film about the Great Fire of London from Class 9.

This year we have again enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch thanks to Harrison Catering. Afterwards, with full tummies and lots of festive cheer we enjoyed a spontaneous festive flash mob.....

We have had the opportunity to grow our very own wheat! Once we had harvested it, every child had a chance to thresh, winnow and mill our wheat afterwhich, everyone made (and ate) their very own, HOME GROWN, delicious pizza!

Big Thanks!: During the course of one year we were lucky to work closely with our friends at Brixton Windmill, Brockwell Bake and the Old Post Office Bakery. They provided us with some truly fantastic workshops as well as generously sharing their resources and know-how when we needed it. We were extremely privileged to have worked with them!

Phase 2 would like to take you on a virtual tour of London to show you what they know about their capital city and all of its fabulous landmarks!

Black History: The whole school took part in an amazing series of drumming and singing workshops which culminated in a fantastically uplifting assembly where everyone got a chance to demonstrate some of their new skills!

Tony Moody, our cricket coach was awarded the Jamaican Prime Minister's Medal of Appreciation for his work using cricket to inspire and unite the young people of Lambeth. Tony came in to share his news and to sing his song 'Catchy Subby' as part of our celebrations - he is an inspiration to us all!

This year our year 3's had the opportunity to take part in Chance to Dance with the Royal Opera House.
